Marketing Associate

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Manage and assist with practice development and marketing efforts, including tasks related to advertising, qualification / pitch materials, social media, event support, email campaigns, competitive research, client relationship management and associated systems

• Create and proofread business development and marketing materials, including client service biographies, pitch materials and marketing collateral

• Perform document review, data entry and analyze data gathered

• Complete ad hoc projects (e.g., review prospective marketing events, awards submissions, etc.)

• Assist with preparation of presentations and quantitative exhibits for third parties, as necessary, on the findings or results of activities

• Review and analyze ROI of marketing campaigns

 

Marketing & Business Development:

• Work with internal clients to create copy and manage design for advertising, professional biographies, marketing and pitch/proposal documents and collateral materials

• Coordinate with corporate and design teams on standards and maintain brand consistency across all the aforementioned content types

• Coordinate and assist in creation of thought leadership, award submissions, marketing collateral, RFPs and pitch materials

• Create and coordinate development and loading of content to intranet, including maintaining organized files for internal sharing and updating, as necessary

• Monitor the competitive landscape in order to help position marketplace presence and opportunities with key client constituencies

• Review and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns

 

External Communications:

• Coordinate with design and digital marketing teams for completion of marketing programs

• Create and manage social media campaigns in keeping with firm standards to support integrated marketing efforts

• Support press release campaigns to promote practice initiatives, offerings and professional announcements

• Manage and assist with website content development and ongoing maintenance for the segment

 

Internal Communications:

• Develop internal communications surrounding business and marketing initiatives

• Responsible for managing content for the global intranet site

 

Event Support:

• Act as liaison and coordinate with event team and vendors to meet internal/external deadlines

• Prepare materials and assist and coordinate support for events (including conferences, hospitality, speaking opportunities) on an as needed basis

• Develop event follow-up communications with product/industry group

• Work with vendors for product orders, shipment and billing


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field


PREFERRED SKILLS:

• 3-4 years of related experience; experience in professional or financial services or other relevant industry is a must

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Sense of urgency

• Strong communication skills, including listening, verbal and written are required

• Decisiveness and excellent use of independent judgment

• Proficiency in Salesforce, or related marketing platforms, and Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and MS Word

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills are required

• Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations

• Must be able to interact, communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of individuals at all levels of the organization

• Exceptional proofreading skills and attention to detail are required

• Must be able to recognize, explore and use a broad range of ideas and practices, thinking logically and creatively without influence from personal bias
